Appearing on “Gandang Gabi Vice,” the 21-year-old beauty queen recounted his high school romance with one "Claire." Kevin recalled that he courted the girl and their relationship lasted for two months, during which they had their first kiss. Balot told "Gandang Gabi Vice" host Vice Ganda, who is openly gay, that it was his last relationship with a girl before "coming out."
“First year high school ako nu’n, e. Kasi sa school namin parang siya ‘yung pinaka-maganda tapos ako ‘yung pinaka-guwapo. Keme, keme, ganon. Tapos lagi kaming pinagpa-partner sa mga activities,” he said. To end their relationship, he simply "disappeared" without admitting his real sexual preference.
“Hindi na lang ako nagparamdam. Sabi ko sa kanya tumigil na lang kasi ‘yung family, tapos ‘yung sa studies, hindi ako makapag-focus,” he shared. After their breakup, Claire eventually became the girlfriend of Kevin’s barkada and real crush. “After kong maging girlfriend si Claire, niligawan niya si Claire nu’ng nag-break kami,” he related.
On the other hand, Vice divulged that has had the same experience of having a girlfriend, saying “hindi ko na kaya. Nakakahiya.” The two agreed that they deceived themselves as much as they lied to their girlfriends. “Masamang nanloloko no, ‘pag hindi totoo ‘yung love, wag na,” Vice added.
