Taiwan playboy Justin Lee is in the headline of Taiwanese media as well social media. His leaked video is being watched by millions of Web users. According to the several media sources, Lee was accused of taking sexual photos of various women without their consent.
But police didn't begin their investigation on Lee until discs allegedly containing nude photos of more than 40 models and celebrities were found at his apartment. Taiwan police on Friday arrested 12 people who allegedly circulated a collection of leaked videos and photos of Lee.
According to the Yahoo News, Lee could possibly face a term of 30 years in prison if found guilty of his crimes. The scandal sparked a media frenzy because Lee is the son of Lee Yueh-tsang, a board member of Yuanta Financial Holding Co. Lee Yueh-tsang on Monday last week resigned from the company, reportedly because of the scandal.
The Taiwan police conceded that the arrests, the results of a massive operation which saw 50 police officers raiding the homes of the 12, were too little too late. The police stated that they have begun an internal investigation on the source of the videos, which has been distributed to foreign website that makes it difficult to track its IP address.
