TV anchor Sana Bucha has resigned from Geo over differences with the channel’s management, the famous top emerging anchor confirmed on Sunday on her Twitter account.
It is reported that Bucha will now be working with Dunya News and will get the 10pm slot. Bucha had earlier resigned in July this year purportedly in protest of Geo’s rehiring of Dr Aamir Liaquat. She was, however, persuaded to stay back.
Explaining the latest departure, the TV anchor tweeted saying she has left “Geo because of Geo, not for any other channel.” Earlier, Sana Bucha, left Geo News after Media Gate Scandal over dispute with the channel administration.
She made a comeback to Geo News after settling his dispute with the TV management. Sana appeared in her “Lakin Doosri Tarf” show on Sunday with telling the story of her resignation and comeback to the country’s leading media group.
She endorsed the speculations, which has been doing the round on social media, that she had left the TV due to appointment of Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain, without mentioning his name.
JournalismPakistan stated that Bucha resigned because she was upset about Liaquat being offered to host a special show on child rights activist Malala Yousufzai.
