Sania Mirza and Leander Paes of India will play their first match against Ana Ivanovic and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia in the first round of the mixed doubles tennis at the London Olympics 2012.
So, there is a medal hope in tennis. Earlier, Sania Mirza and Rushmi Chakarvarthi were knocked out in the opening match of the first round in women’s doubles event.
On the other hand, India`s ace men`s doubles tennis pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna have been also gone down today from the London Olympics 2012. They were beaten by Richard Gasquet and Julien Benneteau of France in the 2nd round.
The seventh seeded Indian pair were totally "disappointed" and they could not show any magic and now they are out from the Olympics. So, Paes, who had to pair with youngster Vishnu Vardhan, is still alive in the men's doubles and the mixed doubles.
