Tabloid The Sun on Friday became the first mainstream British newspaper to publish photographs of Prince Harry when he was caught bare in Las Vegas. The move has just come after The Sun received warnings from the Royal Family's lawyers that it would be an invasion of his privacy.
The photo, which are taken from a private weekend the prince spent with friends, were first published by celebrity website TMZ. And now these are officially publish by the British tabloid The Sun with title "Heir it is". The Press Complaints Commission said, “Almost all the complaints are from members of the public and nearly all are about invasion of privacy.”
The photo shows that Prince bare except for a watch and necklace, protecting his modesty with his cupped hands. There are many others reports which are now circulating in the Web about the Prince Harry Las Vegas leaked photos. According to the latest updates, there were at least 15 bikini-clad babes reportedly partied with Prince Harry the night the rowdy royal stripped bare.
Sun managing editor David Dinsmore said while talking about the scandal, "This is about the ludicrous situation where a picture can be seen by hundreds of millions of people around the world on the internet, but can't be seen in the nation's favourite paper read by eight million people every day."
The Sun said in a statement that in publishing the photos it was not making any moral judgement about the prince's activities. Katrina Darling, the second cousin of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton also spoke about this leaked photos scandal.
“I thought it was really funny. I don’t see what the big deal is. He’s just a young man in [Las] Vegas enjoying himself. Although, he really needs to drop the friends that posted those pictures" Darling, who is also making headline for her playboy photos, told RumorFix exclusively via Skype. On the other hand, Daily Mirror and the Independent said they had not published the photos because they considered that they breached the prince's privacy.
