Carat Cheung was announced as the winner of Miss Hong Kong 2012 pageant yesterday night, but this victory has stir controversy and making headline in the local media. And the reason is "Hacking of TVB Servers."
The audience were able to vote and choose their favorite contestants by online votes. But the story was different when it was reported in the last few minutes of the Sunday night's finale that the servers of TVB could not afford the online voting.
Even it is said that servers had been HACKED. Then TVB announced the winners of this year'a pageant on the based on the judges' scores. Then Cheong Shin Keong, TVB's General Manager for Broadcasting, said that TVB is looking into server "anomalies" observed on Sunday, pointing out that the company would "consider calling the police if there is evidence of hacking".

Even some of the Netizens demanded for "re-election". TVB Deputy Director of External Affairs, Tsang Sing Ming apologized for the technical glitch, but said that the results of the pageant are final.
"It is a pageant after all, not a drama which can be split up into the first and second half. It's not possible," said Tsang, in response to calls from the public for a do-over." The judge of the pageant Carina Lau also expressed her feelings about the results, "There will bound be problems with computers. Each year, the judges are selected too. I hope next year it will be better."
