Denise Ho Seeks 'Talented' Sperm Donor; Joey Yung Dodges Bisexual Rumors

Hong Kong singer-actress Denise Ho, who came out of the closet last week, revealed that she wants to have a baby, reported Taiwan media. "Is that impossible to imagine?"

Ho told surprised reporters, when she met the media on Monday ahead of the 49th Golden Horse Awards (GHA) in Taiwan. Last Saturday, the 35-year-old was in tears as she declared facing a crowd of about 4,000 at the end of the parade and concert, using a common Chinese reference to homosexuality: "I'm a comrade."

Ho announced her sexual orientation on stage at the "Dare to Love" event at the Hong Kong Pride Parade 2012 on Nov 10, 2012. She called herself tongzhi, a Chinese slang word for gay. Ho is the first mainstream female singer in Hong Kong to come out of the closet.

"For many years, when I faced questions from the media, I always felt that sexual orientation is a personal matter, that there is no need to label yourself or tell the public," Ho said to great applause, according to Fridae. "But in 2012 when one would expect more acceptance and progress (in terms of gay equality), I find that there is still discrimination and prejudice. I feel that silence is no longer an option."

Her parents were in the audience, and so were friends such as lyricist Wyman Wong and fashionista Hilary Tsui, the wife of singer Eason Chan, said Ming Pao Daily News. According to Ho, the donor must be "talented, quite good-looking and of good character". She added that it didn't matter whether it was she or her partner who carried the child to term.
