New Mars photos curious as Curiosity lands on Red Planet

NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity has captured the photo of the Martian landscape using a camera still packed on a robotic long hand.

The new picture of the Mars reveals a view of the terrain north of the Curiosity rover, and displays the north wall and rim of Gale Crater in the distance, NASA official spoke today by watching image description.

In a few days, the rover will actually begin moving to transmitting much higher quality, color pictures. Of Curiosity’s successful surface landing on the planet, the former NASA chief technologist Bobby Braun said;

“I think its engineering at its finest. What engineers do is they make the impossible possible. This thing is elegant. People say it looks crazy. Each system was designed for a very specific function.”

The recent pictures were rayed on the Earth during the rover’s first full day services on the Red Planet, following a descent through the Martian atmosphere and touchdown on Sunday night that NASA hailed as the most elaborate and challenging ever in robotic spaceflight.

The $2.5 billion project is NASA’s first astrobiology mission success since the Viking probes of the 1970s, and the mission surface landing came as well success for a space agency beleaguered by science budget cuts and the latest cancellation of its 30-year-old space shuttle project.

At this time, Curiosity’s robotic arm stored the way it was when the spacecraft launched into orbit on November 26, 2011. The robotic arm will be extended in upcoming as Curiosity’s mission team performs checks of the rover’s systems.

“When’s the next lander on Mars? The answer to that is nobody knows,” Bolden said in an interview with The Associated Press recently.

But if Curiosity finds something interesting, he said, it could an attention to the people and Congress to provide more money for more Martian searches. He said, Curiosity mission will help for NASAas it tries to send astronauts to Mars by the mid-2030s.
