Saina Nehwal Wns Bronze Medal In London Plympics: A Photoganic Preview

Indian shuttler and history maker Saina Nehwal has won the bronze medal in Women's single Badminton match. This was really a good match and was going in the favor of her Chinese rival Wang Xin. Xin was leading by 10-5 in the first half of the match.

But, suddenly Saina came back in the game and tried hard to level the score and reached at 21-18. Unfortunately, Chinese player got some injury and she struggled to play but she could not even the play was abandoned following her injury.

After some treatement, Xin came back to play the game but she was feeling pain again and decided to retired from the game. Finally, Saina Nehwal won the bronze medal in London Olympics 2012.

Both the players were from the same country but they played like rivals, means to say that if you missed the final of women’s Olympic singles table tennis, then you missed a lot of excitement and fun as well.

It was  an all-China final where the No. 1-ranked player in the game Ding Ning was favorite for the gold medal but it was totally different here in the Wembley Arena of London Olympics 2012 when she was beaten by Li Xiaoxia.

Since the game was introduced at the Olympics in 1988, it is the super power China who is winning the gold medal in women's single and this is seventh for them.

This was really an exciting final where Ding had more clappings and chanting on her point but there was some silence when Li Xiaoxia gets point.

The first two sets were won by Li. In the third round, there was some controversial moments when Ding was given red card and a point penalty for taking her towel too early.

Li won the gold medal with an amazing and shocking 4-1 victory. Singapore's Feng Tianwei won the bronze medal by beating Japan's Kasumi Ishikawa by 4-0 (11-9, 11-6, 11-6, 11-3).
