U.S. women's soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo and former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens are no more "Single" now and their status has been changed into "Married."
According to the reports, Solo married her footballer fiancé on Tuesday, hours after he appeared in court accused of striking her in a domestic dispute during a late-night party at their home, it has been claimed.
A Kirkland Municipal Court judge released Stevens after a court appearance earlier Tuesday, saying there was no evidence connecting Stevens to any assault. Solo, who typically tweets regularly, had gone silent for over a week before finally posting on Twitter Thursday.
First, she tweeted a photo of her and Stevens together and later said she was Tampa-bound. "Off to Tampa and the good life! What kind of fish shall i go after this time?" she tweeted. Meanwhile, none of this was quite satisfactory enough for us at seattlepi.com to report that Solo and Stevens had indeed gotten married.
Solo and Jerramy Stevens have been together since mid-August 2012 when Solo returned from the Olympics. On November 12, 2012, Stevens was arrested on investigation of assault following an altercation that left Solo injured.
The following day, Stevens was released after determining there was not enough evidence to hold the former football star. After appearing in front of the Kirkland Municipal Court judge today, Stevens, who has a long list of run-ins with the police, was released after no evidence was produced connecting Stevens to any assault during the fracas, Daily Mail reports.
Court documents show that Solo's 34-year-old brother, Marcus, called 911, and that he and Solo told officers there was a party and blamed the disturbance on two to three unknown men who were at the party.
